Deborah Kay Host, 77, of Des Moines, passed away Thursday, August 21, 2025, at Royal Oaks.

She was born May 7, 1948, in Des Moines to Mary Evelyn Host. Mary married Arthur Nizzi on November 9, 1957. Arthur then went on to adopt Deborah. She graduated from Grand View University. Deborah was an avid animal lover who enjoyed showing horses. Before adopting her children, Deborah worked as a social worker. She shared kindness and love with every person that met her.

Deborah was preceded in death by her parents.

Her love and spirit endure on through her three children, Paris, Hunter, and December; beloved daughter-in-law, Makayelah; grandchildren, Kayden, Gabriel, Hunter Jr., Harlo, Judah, Evelyn, and Dominic.
