Diana Lynn Ancell

Diana Lynn Ancell, age 70, of Des Moines, Iowa, passed away on July 14, 2026, in Polk County. She was born on September 21, 1955, to Clifford Kaffman and Elizabeth Duncan.

Diana lived a life filled with simple pleasures and deep devotion to those she loved. She found great joy in the quiet moments spent reading a good book, tending to her garden, and baking treats for her household. She also loved the excitement of gambling and the companionship of her beloved cats. Above all else, Diana’s greatest passion was her family. Her happiest moments were those spent surrounded by the people she loved most.

Diana is survived by her three children, Chantel Ancell, Gerald Ancell, and Michael Ancell; her three grandchildren, Rashel, Bobbi, and Jazmine; and five cherished great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clifford Kaffman and Elizabeth Duncan; her husband, Steven Ancell; and her sister, Sharon Warden.
The family will greet guests on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street, Des Moines, Iowa.
