Elaine Dirksen

Bonnie Elaine Dirksen 77, passed away on June 20, 2025 at Sunny View Care Center. She was born August 19, 1947 the firstborn to Darrell and Blanche Boyd.
Elaine was a member of New City Church and St. Mary’s Baptist church in Plymouth. She loved gospel music, crocheting, knitting, and had just taught herself to tat. She also loved spending time with her family and friends. Elaine married her best friend Jerry after meeting at Faith Baptist Bible College in 1971.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Jerry; her children, Tony (Lisa), Tim (Jule), Tricia (Jeremy), and Travis (bridget; 19 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren and another on the way; brother; two sisters; numerous nieces and nephews; and friends.
Elaine was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Angelica; parents, Darrell and Blanche; brother, Kent; and sister-in-law, Barb.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, June 28, 2025 at 11:30 a.m. at New City Church, 849 S Ankeny Blvd in Ankeny.
