Gladys Weese

Gladys Weese, 75, of Des Moines, Iowa passed away peacefully on July 26, 2025, at Taylor House Hospice surrounded by family and friends.

She was born on November 2, 1949, to Hank Beerbower and Mary Wallover. She is survived by her five boys, Randy, Albert (Lori), Robert (Char), Harlen (Lisa), and Phraitho (Sharon); lots of grandkids and great-grandkids, a few constant – Debbie (Zack), John, Kayla (Josh), Phraitho Jr. (Kari), and Kassie (Jalen); 18 great-grandchildren, and many more.

Gladys was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Shapp, her siblings, as well as her grandson, Boo. She will be remembered by love for her grandchildren as well as her family and friends.

Cremation has occurred and there will be a celebration of life at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to the family in loving memory of Gladys.
