Gary Brian Holper

Gary Brian Holper, age 76, passed away Wednesday, August 12, 2026.

Gary was born May 21, 1950, in Joliet, Illinois to Amil and Betty Holper. He earned his bachelor’s degree in economics and math and worked as an estimator for a commercial glass and glazing company prior to his retirement. Gary was always good at working with his hands and he enjoyed tending his yard. He loved going to Prairie Meadows and was an avid NASCAR fan.

Gary is survived by his wife, Diana Holper; children, Brian Cox (Amanda) and Jamie Cox (Jennifer); grandchildren, Kendall Cox, Cassie Cox, and R.J. Cox; great-grandchildren, Serenity Cox and Abel Cox; and his sisters, Lynette Gould and Luanne Holper.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Kurt Holper.

Cremation will occur and there will be no formal services held at this time.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to the family in loving memory of Gary.
