James "Jimbo" Dacken

James “Jimbo” Herman Dacken, Jr., age 58, passed away Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at Mainstream Group Home in Des Moines.

Jim was born November 10, 1966, in Des Moines, Iowa to James Dacken, Sr. and Joan (Gaughan) Dacken. He loved going on outings with his family and camping. Jim was an animal lover and a car and motorcycle enthusiast.

He will be lovingly remembered by his sisters, Cindy Overton and Candy Kellow (Michael); nieces and nephews, Jeremiah Overton (Erin), Sabrina Casteel (Steve), Levi Overton (Brandi), Shane Michael Kellow (Kenia), and Jacob James Kellow; and great-nieces and great-nephews, Landon and Delaney Overton, Amelia, Abigail, Alex and Ari Casteel, Finnley, Henri and Thaddeus Overton, and Kase Michael and Blair Starlynn Kellow.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Cremation will occur and there will be no services held at this time.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to his family.
