Jennifer Jo Ann Ireland, 54, passed away Thursday, April 10, 2025, at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines after a courageous battle with accelerated heart failure, which she was diagnosed with during her late 40s.

Jenny was born March 12, 1971, at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa. Even with a physically weak heart, she truly had the biggest heart. She loved her family intensely and was a friend to anyone. She loved her mother’s company so much that they worked several jobs togethers over the years to be able to spend more time together. Jenny’s granddaughter, Ava was her pride and joy and she loved to spoil her rotten. Although Jenny was not baptized, she attended the Southside Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses where she found much joy and peace. In her free time, she also enjoyed garage sales and bargain hunting.

Jenny is survived by her parents, Sally and Jack Rounds; brother, Thomas A. Rounds; daughter, April Rounds (Eric); granddaughter, Ava Rose; spouse, James Wiand; niece, Elizabeth Chilcoat (Micah); great-niece and nephew, Liam and Kinley; and her nephew, Thomas L. Rounds.

She was preceded in death by her son, Jackie Rounds; and her grandparents, Shirley and Jasper Doroty and Evelyn Simons.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
