Jackie, may you rest in the knowledge that you did well in this life. The love you gave and the impact you made on those around you is evidenced by their loyalty and love.
You gave good hugs. I can hear you now, as my arms are wrapped around you, saying "I needed that". You were always quick to say "I love you", and one of the few patients that remembered my name. Thank you for that.
I also remember you reaching out to comfort and care for other patients on our unit. You would rub their backs, tell them it would be alright, ask them what is wrong and sit with them until they felt better. You were a true caregiver.
I miss you, and I will remember you for years to come. You will always be my favorite "cherry pie lover" (inside joke).
Sincerely,
Mindy, nurse at VVV

The Lord’s Prayer
Our Father who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come.
Thy will be done
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us,
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom and the power, and the glory,
forever and ever.
Amen.
