Jacquelyn "Jacque" Zeiner

Jacquelyn Zeiner, 94, of Des Moines, Iowa passed away Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at Addington Place of Des Moines.

Jacquelyn was born in Des Moines, Iowa, on July 2, 1931, to Moritz and Gwendolyn Zeiner and was raised in the Des Moines area, graduating from Lincoln High School in 1949. Jacquelyn then graduated from Iowa State University in 1953 in Home Economics and Art. She worked at the Story County Extension Department until marriage to Richard in 1956.

After raising two boys, Karl and Max, she moved to Branson, Missouri in 1983. In 2019 she returned to Des Moines to live close to her son Max and family. Jacquelyn loved sewing, art, music, and studying health. She loved the Lord Jesus Christ and had placed her faith and hope in Him.

Jacquelyn was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her brother, Alan (Peggy, Linnea); her sons, Max (Tracy) and Karl (Sue); two grandsons, Jordan and Jason; three granddaughters, Kristin, Stephanie, and Katie; and ten great-grandchildren, Lucy, Reid, Leah, Van, Myla, Isla, Maelin, Piper, Kinnick, and Gunner.

The family will be greeting friends from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home; 5400 SW 9th Street, Des Moines. Jacquelyn will be laid to rest at Glendale Cemetery following the visitation.
