Jeb Wheeler

Jeb Wheeler, 52, passed away on September 9, 2025 in Des Moines, Iowa. Jeb was born to Peggy and Tommy Wheeler in Lexington, Kentucky. The family moved to Iowa in the 80s, which led Jeb to attend Lincoln High School and where he met the love of his life-Heather.

Heather and Jeb were married on April 19, 1997. Their marriage was full of adventures of all sizes-the greatest adventure becoming the parents of Brendan and Owen. Jeb loved spending time with his boys and was always incredibly proud of their accomplishments. Date nights with Heather continued to be a highlight of his life.

Being a Kentucky native, Jeb loved to watch UK basketball and football. Jeb also loved movies. Star Wars was an undeniable favorite. Dungeons and Dragons kept the fantasy in his social circles and driving with the top off and music blaring in his Jeep kept the sunshine on his face.

Jeb is survived by his wife of 28 years, Heather Wheeler; his sons, Brendan and Owen Wheeler.

Jeb was proceeded in death by his parents, Peggy and Tommy Wheeler; maternal grandparents, Virgil and Nellie; paternal grandparents, James and Pauline; and his aunt, Wanda Wilson.

Family will be greeting friends and loved ones from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM on Thursday, September 18, 2025 at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th in Des Moines, Iowa.
