Dear family,
I’m so sorry to hear of Jerry’s passing but so grateful he knew he was blessed to be so deeply loved and cherished by his dear family and friends. He was able to participate in your lives and be close to you in so many of your shared activities in your early days, and it kept his heart and his calendar full. He was always a busy husband and father, but he loved both responsibilities and honors. His many hours as a DJ at school and other events and as a bus driver made him familiar and friendly with every student, faculty member and parent in Van Meter and the surrounding area. He was humble about what he did for the community through the years, but I don’t want to wonder where we’d be now without his help and ideas at so many functions.
May God grant Jerry peace and eternal rest after his many years of service and love poured out to others. And may God bless you all too with strength for the days ahead.💜
