Justin Anthony Valenti

Justin Anthony Valenti, 45, passed away on August 13, 2026, in Marengo, Iowa.

Justin was born on July 13, 1981, in Des Moines to Anthony and Kimbra (Skoog) Valenti. He worked for The Weitz Company and was most recently working in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He was a member of the Local Laborers Union. Justin could always be found lending a helping hand to anyone in need. He enjoyed cooking, not only at home, but he had previously worked as a cook at various restaurants. Justin loved motorcycles. He also loved animals, especially his dog, Buzz.

Justin is survived by his grandmother, Beverly Skoog; brother, Brandon Valenti; niece, Lilly Valenti; aunts and uncles, Rosie Newell, Kay (Jim) Newkirk, Carolyn (Doug) Valenti Allen, Dale (Sandy) Valenti, Jody (Bart) Curtis, and Chet (Holly) Skoog; his dog, Buzz; and a host of extended family, friends and coworkers.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Kimbra Valenti; father, Anthony Valenti; grandparents, Ernest Skoog and Angelo “Ace” and Velva Valenti.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the family or the Animal Rescue League of Iowa in loving memory of Justin.
