Kevin Douglas Anderson, 58, of Des Moines, IA passed away on October 24, 2025, in Des Moines, IA surrounded by his loved ones. Born on June 30, 1967, in Des Moines, Kevin led a life marked by a spirit of adventure and love of tasty food.

He loved spending time with friends and family. You could always find him at the grill or smoker on the weekend! In his early years, Kevin was an avid rock climber. This passion for challenge and heights later translated into a love for aviation, where he became a hobby pilot and a dedicated member of the Civil Air Patrol. Kevin’s greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Sirirut (Boo) Anderson; his two sons, Bo (Tabatha) and Anthony; and his six grandchildren, Trenton, Abigail, Anthony, Reagan, Weston, and Mereaha. Kevin also leaves behind his siblings, Wendi Anderson-Meek, Gary Anderson, Jr., Jacquee Anderson, and Missy Keith; and father-in-law, Kenneth (Carol) Harvey.

Kevin was preceded in death by his mother, Judy Simpson; father, Gary Anderson, Sr.; mother-in-law, Nee Harvey; and many other loved ones.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines.
