Keith A. Shivers

Keith Allen Shivers, 65, passed away Friday, September 26, 2025, at Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.

He was born October 7, 1959, in Des Moines, Iowa to Ralph and Rosie Shivers. He was a truck driver and farmer for all of his life. Keith loved his family above all else and spending time with them was his greatest joy. He loved his friends and would do anything for anyone. Keith would visit with anyone who had time, and loved talking to people. He was very outgoing and personable, and was very interested in people. He enjoyed going to truck and tractor pulls, watching NASCAR races, and attending auctions. Keith liked hunting and going to gun shows. He liked the simple things in life like listening to music with an ice-cold Mountain Dew.

He was preceded in death by parents, Ralph and Rosie Shivers; brothers, Kenny Shivers and Kent Shivers; and his sister-in-law, Lois Shivers.

Keith is survived by his wife, Sharon Shivers; sons, Koby (Mandee) and Kray (Shawna); grandchildren, Thatcher, Lorelei, Hallie, Emmalinn, and Lincoln; siblings, Kurt Shivers and Karla Van; in-laws, Doug (Anna) Wiles and Tim (Lori) Wiles; aunts, Evelyn Shivers and Deb (Bob) Cooper; as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, October 2, 2025, at Rising Sun Church of Christ, 6390 NE Rising Sun Drive, Pleasant Hill. Funeral service will begin at 10:30 a.m. Friday, October 3, 2025, also at Rising Sun Church of Christ.
