Kent Ray Vaughn

Kent Ray Vaughn, 65, passed away Wednesday, July 23, 2025.
He was born January 23, 1960, to Harry “Bucky” Vaughn and Sandra “Sandy” Vaughn.
He followed his father’s example and enlisted in the United States Navy, serving as a Seabees. Kent owned his own refinishing business for 30 years. He loved spending time at the family lake house that had hosted generations of family gatherings. It was his home away from home, and he loved nothing more than being surrounded by his kids and grandkids.
Kent is survived by his daughter, Daniella (Tony) Jensen; son, Tony (Tricia) Vaughn; grandchildren, Memphis and Remington Jensen, Bowen, Vera, and Vianna Vaughn; girlfriend, Lori Marlenee; brother, Kelly (Lesia) Vaughn; and his niece and nephew, Shanna Greve and Chris Vaughn.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sandy and Bucky Vaughn; and his brother, Kevin R. Vaughn.
There will be a celebration of life from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Saturday, August 2, 2025, at New Life Church, 6036 NE 12th Avenue, Pleasant Hill. Private burial will take place at Bondurant Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to the family in loving memory of Kent.

Condolences to the Vaughn family. I worked with Kent at the Polk County Sheriff’s Office. He was well liked by his peers and a great friend to all. On patrol I would stop in Bondurant to say hello when he lived NE of the bank. He will be missed.
