Kathryn Elizabeth Glenn

Kathryn Elizabeth Glenn, 71, of Des Moines, Iowa, passed away on June 24, 2025.

Kathryn was born on July 7, 1953, in Des Moines to Harold and Ethel (Nelson) Glenn. She spent most of her life in Des Moines, with a few years living in Ames and Colo, Iowa. She attended Iowa State University in Ames and remained a proud Cyclone throughout her life.

Kathryn worked in various office positions over the years, retiring from Nationwide Insurance, where she was known for her dedication and skill. Whether at work or home, she was almost always on her computer—organized, efficient, and engaged.

She was a deeply creative soul who dabbled in woodworking and photography, and she loved reading, especially murder mysteries and suspense novels.

Kathryn never married, but she built a life full of meaning, kindness, and quiet strength. She was a caring and genuine person who didn’t have an enemy in the world. Honest, sweet, and thoughtful, she was the kind of person others aspired to be.

She is survived by her sister, Karen Hudson, along with extended family and friends who will carry her memory forward with love.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Ethel Glenn.
