Kathy Stoker

Kathy Iris Stoker,64, passed away February 7, 2025.

She was born September 7, 1961 in Des Moines, Iowa to her parents, James and Virginia Stoker. Kathy graduated from Saydel High School class of 1979. She moved to Michigan for over 20 years where she held numerous jobs including working on Mackinac Island. Kathy then moved Casper, Wyoming and spent many years volunteering as the secretary for New Jerusalem Knights, a Christian motorcycle association.

She enjoyed collecting owls and polar bear figures. Kathy loved a cold diet coke and her family often joked that her blood type was diet coke because of how much she would drink. She also really enjoyed being pen pals with her great niece, Ivy Kane. Kathy was strong in her faith and was an active member of Sunrise Baptist Church in Casper, Wyoming before she moved to Des Moines. In Des Moines she moved in with her niece, Rhonda (Ronald) Argueta and their family. Rhonda was like a daughter to her.

Kathy is survived by her sisters, Linda Johnson and Debbie (Dave) Kane; nieces, nephews; and many other loving family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Virginia Stoker; sister, Shirly Larkins; and brothers, George Stoker and David Stoker.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the family in loving memory of Kathy Stoker.

Family will hold a celebration of life later this summer.
