Lois G. Clemens

Lois Grace Clemens, 98, passed away Saturday, May 3, 2025.

Lois was born November 30, 1926, in Webster, South Dakota, the daughter of Grace Foster. She graduated from East High School in Des Moines and went on to work for Northwestern Bell as a Telephone Operator, from where she retired. Lois married Arvel Clemens in 1947 and they enjoyed 58 wonderful years until his death in 2005. Lois had a passion for traveling and for cats. She combined these two loves by traveling to attend cat shows. Above all, Lois cherished her family. She enjoyed family time and made it so enjoyable that no one ever wanted to go home.

She is survived by her daughters, Cheryl Allen and Chris Hull and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Lois was preceded in death by her husband, Arvel Clemens; daughter, Mary Lucinda; son-in-law, Dave Hull; sister, Phyllis Griffith; and eldest grandson, Troy Allen.

Lois will be laid to rest with her daughter, Mary Lucinda, at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 14, 2025.
