Lilly Marie Gruis

Lilly Marie Gruis passed away on Monday, December 15, 2025.

Lilly blessed us for only a short time. Her love and memory will be held in our hearts forever. Until we meet her again she will be, (cuddled and loved), cherished by Papa in Heaven.

Lilly was a fighter through her whole life, she fought her sister in the womb not only for the nutrients, but the kicks and punches that woke mama up. She was born at 12:24 on a Sunday and she fought with a heart that was oversized and carried her through her through her next 17 hours of life. She fought low oxygen, she fought the nurses and she fought to hang on. This being said she was our little sweetheart that calmed down when she held mom’s hand and she is our sweetheart still.

Lilly will always be remembered by Mom and Dad, Waylan, Lanie and Loretta, in addition to the rest of her extended family.

A private service will be held for family at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home on Sunday, December 21, 2025.
