Linda Dianne Hietbrink, age 79, passed away on Saturday, June 27, 2026. Linda was born on May 18, 1947, in Hastings, Nebraska, to Homer and Frances (Findley) Carlson.

Linda was a devoted follower of Jesus Christ whose greatest joy was her relationship with the Lord. Her faith was the foundation of her life, and she trusted Jesus as her Lord and Savior. Her family finds peace and joy knowing she is now in His presence, healed and rejoicing in heaven.

Linda grew up on a farm outside Sutton, Nebraska, and graduated from Sutton High School. After graduation, she attended Mary Lanning School of Nursing, where she earned her nursing degree. Linda devoted her life to the nursing profession, providing compassionate care for more than 55 years. She continued working as a nurse until just one year before her passing.

Linda’s greatest earthly blessing was her family. She was a loving and supportive mother to Jeremy and Libby. A dear friend to her sister Jeanene. And a wonderful aunt to her niece and nephews. Of all the roles she held throughout her life, the one she treasured most was being called "Grammy." Her five grandsons were the light of her life and filled her heart with immeasurable pride and happiness. She adored each of them deeply and cherished every hug, laugh, milestone, and memory they shared together.

Linda will be remembered for her unwavering faith, spirit of contentment, loving heart, and the kindness she shared with everyone she met. Though she will be deeply missed, her family rejoices in the promise of eternal life and looks forward to being reunited with her one day.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Frances (Findley) Carlson.
