Linda Diane Williams
January 25, 1942 — February 18, 2026
Linda Diane Williams, 84, passed away peacefully into Jesus’ arms from her loving husband Glenn’s arms at home on the evening of Wednesday, February 18th, 2026. Linda is a child of God. Twice adopted by loving parents in her life, the first time, at the age of 12 by Fremont and Leota Staples. The second, shortly after when she accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior.
Linda was born January 25, 1942, to John Miller and Eleanor Kirkman in Des Moines, IA, 1 of 16 children including half-siblings. Separated as small children, Linda miraculously re-connected in later years with all of her siblings still living. At the age of 22 years, Linda briefly dated Glenn before parting ways amicably. For the next 28 years, Linda served faithfully as a loving daughter to Fremont and Leota, loyal sister to Marlene Cummins, and amazing aunt to her children, Diana and Sean.
When Linda was 49, a younger man came calling. It was her old flame Glenn. Glenn and Linda married on October 12, 1991, and Linda began a journey lasting the rest of her life. She gained the most humble and selfless, loving husband, in Glenn. She finally became a mother to Glenn’s children, Robert, Mike, and Kim, and grandmother to Alex, Abby, Luke, Blake, Alisha, Anna, Hudson, and Stephen.
Linda graduated from Tech Highschool. She worked for Allied Insurance, PDM, and Wellmark Blue Cross of Alabama. She lived in Iowa her entire life, excluding five years in Pennsylvania working for PDM.
Linda is known by all for her sweet, patient, and content spirit. Glenn was the earthly love of her life, but her soul belonged to the Lord in its entirety.
She is survived by her husband, Glenn Williams; step-children, Robert Williams, Mike (Joselyn) Williams, and Kim (Cory) Frank; 7 grandchildren; brothers, Elmer and Robert Miller; sisters, Gloria Palmer, Melissa Farhat, and Teresa Spanglen; niece, Diana (Norm) Bates; nephew, Sean (Sarah) Cummins; 3 great-nieces; and 2 great-nephews.
The family will be greeting friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 26th, 2026, at Berean Assembly of God; 5299 E University Ave, Pleasant Hill, IA 50327. A funeral service will be held following the visitation at 11:00 a.m., at the church. Linda will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

I remember Linda as in the pic. Many years ago I met Linda at church & we both lived on the southside. I would pick her up to go to Berean on Sunday nights. She was such a joy to visit with and I always felt she desired to be married and single life was hard, but she never complained. She told me she couldn't afford a car, the maintenance & gas. I was so happy when Glenn swept her off her feet. I know the Lord give Linda the desire of her heart...to someday be married.
