Lori Louise Cook

Lori Cook passed away unexpectedly in Madrid, Iowa. She was a creative soul and known for her work as a cook in the Madrid community. Lori also spent years as a paralegal in Iowa and Florida, careers that reflected her sharp mind and dedication.

She found peace in the ocean and inspiration in nature. Her love of painting and music, especially playing guitar, offered her a sense of freedom throughout her life.

Lori is survived by her son, Grant Stalker; her daughter, Carly Hanes (Paul Hanes); her granddaughter, Bryn Hermosillo; and her siblings, Jill Newland, Lisa Kongtahworn, Jeff Hester, and Kim Hester. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Patsy Hester.

The family will honor her privately at a later time.
