We are so deeply saddened by the loss of Lorne's presence in our lives. He was such an incredible person. We will always remember his amazing countenance and the life he brought with him wherever he went. We loved hearing him talk about Jesus and reading his Bible Studies. He was so funny and we really appreciated his directness—he never minced words, and we loved that about him. We feel so thankful and honored that God brought him our lives and that we were able to get to know him, even for a short time. He was a true joy to be around. He was so kind, and his generosity knew no bounds. The greatest comfort for us is knowing that he is with Jesus, and that his hope was fulfilled. It's a comfort to know that this is not goodbye forever.

My deep condolences to Lorne’s family. I was Lorne and Kathy’s banker in a past life a long time ago. Over the years Lorne and I had a relationship based only upon occasional interactions and yet we knew each other well and enjoyed each other. He was a generous man of faith and family with the rare talent to build a very successful business from nothing, literally out of his garage. He will be missed.

My sincere condolences to the Scharnberg Family. Through Lorne's generosity in providing my professor's office at Cedarville University, and through his frequent visits to our campus over the past 28 years, I have been truly encouraged by his friendship in Christ.
