Lynda Simon

Lynda K Simon, 78, passed from this life on Sunday, November 30, 2025, at Regency Care Center in Norwalk.

Lynda was born May 3, 1947, in Des Moines, the third daughter of Bob and Ruth (Chase) Savage. A lifelong resident of Des Moines, she graduated from East High School, attended the University of Northern Iowa, and lived the last 40 years in her home in the north side Highland Park neighborhood. Lynda enjoyed spending time in her pool and backyard, and caring for her beloved cats.

Lynda is survived by her son, Eric (Heather) Simon, and her grandchildren, Jalyn and Karsten. She was preceded in death by her parents and her twin sisters, Bonnye Savage and Bobbye Scheidler.

A private Celebration of Life will be held with family and close friends on Sunday, December 14, 2025.

Eric,

I have such fond memories of living next door to you, your mom and your dad. Your mom always seemed to be laughing and having a great time. I remember the special treat when she’d take me over to the pool at your grandparents house to spend the afternoon swimming. Her bright light will be missed by many, I’m sure. Sending you all the best memories to hold in your heart. ♥️
