Madge V. Fels

Madge V. Fels, 82, passed away at her home on April 4, 2026.

Madge was born June 7, 1943, in Centerville, Iowa to John and Regna (Franklin) Lee. She was raised in Moravia, Iowa. Madge went on to receive her Master’s Degree from the University of Iowa. She retired in 2001 from the Norwalk Public Schools, where she had been the librarian for many years. Madge loved to read and spend time with her family.

Madge is survived by her sons, Brad (Jen) Fels and Chris Fels; grandchildren, Madelaine, Emerson and Campbell; and a host of extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Barb and Bill; and her beloved husband, Ronald Fels.

The family will greet friends on Friday, April 10, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with the memorial service to follow at 11:00 a.m. at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street. Madge will be laid to rest at Haynes Cemetery in Centerville, Iowa at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the family for a future designation in loving memory of Madge.
