We knew Marsha and John when we were all students at Northwest MO State. In the mid 50s, there was a song--don't remember just how it went---when the names "John" and "Marsha" were whispered. Since they were already an "item", their friends thought that was funny. It's nice to know that they had over 50 years together. John was Bob's fraternity president. Our condolences to your family.

I remember Mrs. Barrett fondly. She was my kindergarten teacher many years ago at Park Avenue Elementary. I remember her warm smile and learning to read around her little table. I became an elementary teacher myself and have no doubt, Mrs. Barrett played an important role in beginning my love for education and passion for teaching. May your memories of her provide you comfort during this time.
