Marilyn M. Corrigan, 89, passed away on January 13, 2026, surrounded by her loving family at 3801 Grand Assisted Living and Memory Care.

Marilyn was born June 11, 1936 in Waukon, Iowa to Harry and Leona Drew. She grew up on West Ridge near Waukon and graduated from St. Patrick’s High School in 1954. Marilyn met the love of her life and future husband, Roger Corrigan on a blind date on New Year’s Eve in 1959. On February 11, 1961 the couple was married. She was a devoted wife and mother to Ted, Paige and Jay. Marilyn was a gifted seamstress and homemaker, always willing to take on any project that needed doing. In retirement, she and Roger spent countless hours caring for their six grandchildren and loving every minute of it. They also enjoyed international travel and visiting family. Marilyn was a devout Catholic and an active member of Christ the King Catholic Church for over 60 years. She will be remembered for her devotion to her family, her generosity with her time, and the steady presence she was to those who knew her.

Marilyn is survived by her children, Ted (Linda) Corrigan, Paige (Paul) Chamberlain and Jay (Sonia) Corrigan; sisters, Angie Schulte, Sherry Sparks and Marlene Bachtel; brother, Dean Drew; grandchildren, Rae (Jared) Grove, Lilly (Ben Swaim) Corrigan, Henry Sanders, Stella Sanders, Tessa Corrigan and Noah Corrigan; and a host of extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 54 years, Roger Corrigan; her parents, Harry and Leona Drew; daughter, Nell Corrigan; and her brother, Bud Drew.

Memorial contributions may be directed to Christ the King Catholic Church or the Alzheimer’s Association in loving memory of Marilyn.

The family will greet friends on Monday, January 19, 2026, at Christ the King Catholic Church, 5711 SW 9th Street beginning at 10:00 a.m. with the Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:00 a.m. Immediately after the funeral mass, there will be a luncheon at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street.
