Martasha “Tae Tae” Jordane Paris McKenzie
September 04, 1992 — March 24, 2026
Martasha “Tae Tae” Jordane Paris McKenzie was born September 4, 1992, in Des Moines, Iowa. Tae attended Des Moines Public Schools the majority of her life and was currently attending DMACC, working towards a Business Management Degree. She also was working at Enterprise Rental Car Company downtown Des Moines, Iowa.
Tae loved her family and her children were her pride and joy, truly the apple of her eye. And she was really protective of all of her children and siblings—they were all her world. Tae stayed on her phone, with close friends and family, giving advice, receiving advice—it was always a good time! She loved making people smile and laugh and was often the connecting link between different people who would not otherwise get along.
Martasha passed on March 24, 2026. She was preceded in death by her brother, Jaymau’zea Spencer and her beloved grandmothers, Mary M. Ewing and Donna Mae Jackson.
Tae leaves behind her her children, Jirynn McKenzie, Zarion McKenzie-Keeling, Kireon McKenzie-Keeling, Aireon McKenzie, Zarria McKenzie-Jeffrey, and Seyvnn McKenzie; mother, Angela McKenzie and her siblings, James McKenzie, Bryan McKenzie, Ajanique McKenzie, and Y’Zhawn Spencer; her father, David Ewing and her siblings, Shyron Belle, Brendon Craig, Darian Jewett, Dameer Ewing, Davion McDaniel, David Ewing Jr., Aaron Ewing, Isaiah Ewing, Deja Ewing, Nevaeh Ewing, Ziaire Ewing, and Jayden Cameron; and a long list of grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Tae you already know it’s Tasha aka Lil Bit. When I think about the time God gave us in each others lives, I smile. You were always a great friend and a blast to be around. Your smile was so contagious and it just felt like I had known you forever. The best part of knowing you was knowing no matter what you put your kids first, loved them to the fullest and worked your ass off. We both said “now B**** we too old to be going back to school but we got stuff to accomplish” those encouraging words of “stay strong, we got this” You always showed up for those you cared about and idk how you did it cause baby your social capabilities had no limits lol. You were the only one in the group that’d be at work on Snap sending us dumb a** videos making us laugh. I’m sad to not hear that loud vacuum running in the background (iykyk) or you yelling at the kids to stop fighting
