Matthew "Matt" Alan Reynolds

Matthew “Matt” Alan Reynolds, 38, passed away at his home July 25, 2025.

Matt was born February 25, 1987 in Des Moines, Iowa to Rodney and Tammy Reynolds. He attended DMACC to get his certificate in diesel technology. He went on to work as a diesel mechanic for Quality Services Corporation. When Matt wasn’t working on semis or refrigerated trailers, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. Above all else, he loved his son Matthew and his dog Gracie.

Matt is survived by his father, Rod (Barb Davison) Reynolds; siblings, Rod (Robin James) Reynolds Jr and Crystal (Todd) Halstead; son, Matthew; nieces and nephews, Dominic, Damian, Dillon, Savannah, and Mariah; grandmother, Diane Sue Taylor; and his dog Gracie.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Tammy Reynolds; sister, Jennifer Reynolds; grandfather, Donald Keith Reynolds; and grandmother, Donna Eileen Reynolds.

The family will greet friends Friday, August 1, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Matt will be laid to rest at the Norwalk Cemetery.
