Meicaela "Mike" Jones

Meicaela “Mike” Jones, age 83, passed away Tuesday, August 4, 2026.

Meicaela was born February 10, 1943, in Newton, Iowa to Soilo and Francis Urias. She graduated from Newton High School. She went on to earn her associate’s degree from a community college in Colorado. In her younger years, Meicaela was a motocross rider, and loved going camping and fishing. She moved around a lot and resided in many different places.

In more recent years she enjoyed crafting, particularly working with beads and making bracelets and other jewelry. Meicaela was a Green Bay Packers fan. Above all else, family was important to her, and she loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Jeff Jones and Dorrie Harper (husband Terry); siblings, Sonny Urias, Harry Urias, Patricia Stahl (husband Donnie), and Alicia Schwerdtfeger (husband Richard); two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and other extended family.

Meicaela was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Jones; parents, Soilo and Francis Urias; and her siblings, Diana Urias, Edward Urias, and Mary Osborn.
