Michael Anson Miller
January 06, 1962 — July 31, 2025
Michael Anson Miller, 63, passed away July 31, 2025, after a brave fight to recover from a stroke one year ago. He was determined in his recovery effort, never giving up until God called him home.
Mike was born in Des Moines, Iowa, on January 6, 1962, to Stanley J. and Eileen (Ward) Miller and graduated from Lincoln High School. He was a dedicated and accomplished sales representative in the flooring industry, earning multiple awards and achieving many milestones throughout his career. His success mainly was attributed to his hard work and genuine commitment to building lasting relationships with people.
Mike enjoyed all things outdoors. He liked camping, fishing, hiking, and traveling to new places. He loved sports and, above all, the Green Bay Packers. He was even a Packers shareholder - a testament to his loyalty as a fan. Mike was an animal lover and spoiled his pets, especially his dog Maggie.
Mike was the heart of his family and known for his kindness, sense of humor, compassion, and unwavering devotion. He was a selfless caregiver, tending to his father and mother in their final years and lovingly looking out for his mother-in-law. His love for his wife, Saundra, was evident in the life they built, the travel and adventures they had, and in the shared experience of renovating their dream home in Florida.
Mike will be missed by all who knew him and remembered for his inner strength and resilience, generosity, and love he showed his family, especially his three grandsons who brought him joy.
He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Saundra; son, Dr. Jeremy Miller of Tampa, FL; grandsons, Odin, Barrett, and Torin Miller; brother, Greg Miller; sister, Ruthann (Wayne) Manning of Winterset, IA; mother-in-law, Judy Gustafson of Johnston, IA; sister-in-law, Cathy Cockayne of Des Moines, IA and her son, Cory Cockayne of Longmont, CO; special nieces, Shelly Davis, Tammy (Dennis) Alcala, and Yvonne Tribby (fiancé, Brian); and other extended family.

Sister Saundra Miller - The Lord has called him home, for he is in a better place and all pain is gone. The Lord makes no mistakes. May he rest in peace.
In moments of grief and sorrow, He is the God of all comfort and He comforts us on every side and He is the one that wipes away all tears from our eyes.
I pray that you receive the comfort from the Lord and peace from God knowing that brother Mike is with our Lord because "Blessed are those that mourn, for they shall be comforted" (Matthew 5:4)
Love in your sister in Christ,
Albertha (One -2-One Care)
