Monna Carol Abrahamson, age 82, passed away peacefully Thursday, July 30, 2026, at Arbor Springs in West Des Moines.

Monna was born October 25, 1943, in Des Moines, Iowa to Carrol Beasley and Mary (Shook) Beasley. She married Jon “Abe” Abrahamson May 2, 1974, and they made their home in Des Moines.

Monna was an avid reader and enjoyed dining out and trying new restaurants with friends. She was a lifetime member of the Eastern Star in Des Moines.

She is survived by her children, Terrence Stoner, Robert (Danessa Erickson) Stoner, Teresa Vokes, and Michelle Clark; siblings, Shirley (Ron) Brewer and Robert Beasley; grandchildren, Thom Stoner, Amber (Samuel) Stoner-Lilley, Ellen Stoner, Marissa Stoner, Tisha (Kelton McCuien) Otto-McCuien, Devin Allie, Hunter Clark and Kylie Clark; great grandchildren William Lilley, Kyle, Natalie, Keira, and Naomi; her kitties, Missy and Socks.

Monna was preceded in death by her husband, Jon Wahl Abrahamson; her parents, Carrol and Mary Beasley; siblings, Connie Costello and Ben Hadley, grandchildren, Joshua Stoner, Benjamin Stoner, and Elizabeth Stoner.
