I just came across Nancy's obituary this afternoon and I want to extend my condolences to Don and her family even though it has now been a year and a half since Nancy died. I remember Nancy fondly from the late 1970's when we attended a single women's Bible Study in the home of Dorothy and Roy Porter. The Porters were in my parents' age range, and Dorothy specifically started a single women's Bible Study in the summer of 1976 (I remember the date as it was the bicentennial year) and her main objective was to find "good Christian husbands" for all of us (there were six or seven single women from church including myself who attended the study). One by one Dorothy eventually found husbands for everyone but me (I'm laughing now as I'm writing this). Nancy ended up marrying Don in 1979, and I think she was the envy of every single woman in our age range who had their eyes on him... :-) Dorothy tried hooking me up with a much older divorced man in our congregation, but he was too old for me. Anyway, I do remember Nancy and her laugh and she was great fun to be with, and I'm sad to read about her death now all these years later. BTW, I did manage to stay single all of my life (Mr. Right never showed up), and I spent 20+ years in Florida, and I'm now in Texas. I remember my years at First Federated Church with great fondness, too.

I’m so sorry to hear about Nancy. I was a neighbor who lived on Sunset Terrace and knew her mother, Mary, Sue, + Nancy. Mary was so kind to send a card when my brother died in 1966. My husband and I knew Sue back in the early. 70’s and enjoyed our time with her but we lost touch. My youngest brother knew Nancy better at Valley. Time has flown by and we treasure our memories of the Mitchell family in Windsor Heights. What a great family! Too many of our Windsor Heights family gone too soon!!

Pastor Don and family! Nancy was such a kind soul. She showed me (Lisa) such kindness at a women’s retreat after my father passed. I will always remembered how welcomed and peaceful she made me feel. From our family to yours we are sending hugs and prayers as you navigate life without her this side of heaven. How beautiful her view must be!!! Love the Lee Family❤️

We were sadden to hear of Nancy's passing. She was such a wonderful neighbor and friend to all. Out kids loved going over to the Morris house and playing with the kids. They enjoyed attending church and Nancy always had an arm open to all. May her memory be eternal in all our hearts. We know you will be missed but are glad you are in heaven with no more pain or sorrow. My god be your savior.

I love the photo you chose of Nancy; her eyes and smile look so bright and you even get a glimpse of her kind heartedness. Holding the Morris family close during this time. May you lean on each other and find peace as you mourn together
