Norman Osborne
June 11, 1964 — February 01, 2026
Norman Lee Osborne II, 61, lovingly known as “Ozzy”, of Des Moines, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, February 1, 2026.
Ozzy was born June 11, 1964 in Des Moines, Iowa to Norman and Beverly Osborne. He graduated from Tech High School in 1983 and went on to follow in his dad’s footsteps, painting houses before later becoming a cook, a role that suited his hardworking nature and generous spirit.
Ozzy found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He loved fishing, shooting pool, watching NASCAR, and attending races at the fairgrounds. He had a passion for collecting eagle memorabilia, Hot Wheels, and micro cars. More than any hobby, though, Ozzy treasured time spent with the people he loved most, sharing stories, laughter, and memories with family and friends.
He was the kind of man who listened without judgment and gave without hesitation, always willing to help anyone in need. Ozzy was a devoted brother, uncle, father, and proud papa. His kindness, humor, and steady presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Ozzy was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his children, Leila, Chantal, and Michael; the love of his life, Michelle; siblings, Kevin (Stephanie) Osborne of Virginia, Pamela Brownell (Mike Egeland) of Des Moines, Diana (Louis) Pazzi of Des Moines, Janet (Michael Bohmke) of Des Moines, and Brad Osborne of Des Moines; as well as his six cherished grandchildren, Nickolas, Javalynn, Brylee, Lionel, Emberlee, and Brantley; and a host of friends, cousins, and family.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the family in loving memory of Ozzy.
