Norman Shryock

Norman Shryock, 95, passed away March 12, 2026.

He was born in Nevada, Iowa on July 26, 1930. Norman enlisted into the Army in November of 1950. During his time in the military, Norman was a Mechanic and was stationed in Germany for the duration of his service. He served during the Korean War and discharged from the Army in 1952.

After being discharged Norman was a laborer. He worked at Armstrong/Pirelli until retirement while doing landscaping on the side. Once he retired, he started driving for ADESA Auto Auction in Grimes, picking up cars, until 2020 when COVID occurred.

He is survived by his four children, LuAnne, Linda, Mark, and LuCinda; eight grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren.

Norman was cremated and a private service will be held at a later date.
