Patrick James Northway

Services will be held on Thursday, January 8, 2026, at Lutheran Church of Hope in West Des Moines. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. There will be a luncheon after the funeral.

Patrick James Northway, born April 28, 1980, passed away peacefully at home on December 26, 2025, surrounded by the people who loved him most. He was 45 years old.

Patrick was a loyal, compassionate, loving, and deeply caring man — the kind of person who showed up for his family no matter what. He was a natural hustler in the best way, working hard his entire life and doing whatever he could to take care of those he loved. His sense of humor, his strength, and his heart will be remembered forever.

Patrick is survived by his wife, Jennifer Stephen, and his beloved children: Brooke White, Timothy Stephen, Acacia, Devan, and Cooper Hoskins, as well as his youngest, Rylee Northway. He also raised and loved his nephew as his own son, Scott Jones. Each of them meant the world to him and were his proudest accomplishments in life.

He is also survived by his siblings: Melissa Young, Charles Young, Randy Schilling, Amber Schilling, and Norma Schilling, who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.

He shared a lifelong brotherhood with his best friend, Jeff Breuklander, and he held a close bond with his cousins, the Avery family. Patrick now reunites in Heaven with his mother, Ethel Jo Musselman, his father, Robert Northway, his nephew, Charles Young, and his cousin, Dustin Avery, who all welcomed him home with open arms.

His presence will forever remain in the hearts of everyone who knew him — his family, his friends, and all who were lucky enough to have him in their lives.
