Patricia Kruger

Patricia “Pat” Kruger, 81, of Des Moines, passed away Wednesday, May 28, 2025 at Kavanagh House.

Patricia was born February 7, 1944 in Cora, MO to Coy and Georgia Jones. She was a kind and caring soul who loved her family, God, and life’s simple pleasures. She often would spread the word of God to those who would listen. Patricia loved to take care of plants and flowers, with her favorite flower being tiger lilies.

Pat was a silly grandma that was always playing with her grandkids. She loved taking them to events and spoiling them. She was devoted to her family, and always there for them. She was the type of person to put her family and friends before herself.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Coy and Georgia Jones; husband, Leo Kruger; brothers, Donald Jones and Doyle Jones; sister, Shirley Hansen; sister-in-law, Janis Jones; brother-in-law, Rodney Hansen; nephews, Brian Jones, Jeffery Jones, and Rodney Hansen Jr.; grandson, Nicholas Montelongo.

She is survived by brother, Ronald (Jean) Jones; sister, Phyllis (Bobby) Fleshman; children Everett Kruger, Alisa Montelongo, and John Kruger; numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Family will be greeting friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 2nd, 2025 at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home; 5400 SW 9th Street, Des Moines. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 2nd, at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home. Patricia will be laid to rest at Norwalk Cemetery.
