Patricia Trebil Williams
April 21, 1953 — July 25, 2026
Patricia Trebil Williams, 73, passed away Saturday, July 25, 2026. She was born on April 21, 1953, to Jerome and Ethel (Johnson) Trebil in Bloomington, Minnesota. She graduated from Jefferson High School and went on to study at Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minnesota, where she would meet a group of ladies who would go on to become more affectionately known as the "Gustie Girls". These lifelong friends would remain close even up until her passing.
While on a spring break trip to Florida with her college roommates, Patricia met Lloyd, who had recently returned home after serving in the Marine Corps. What began as a chance meeting quickly grew into a long-distance romance. Before long, Lloyd moved to Minnesota, and the two built a life together, sharing 49 wonderful years of marriage filled with love, laughter, and devotion to their family.
In 1984, Patricia and Lloyd moved to the Des Moines area for Lloyd's job. Patricia began working at Norwest Bank, later Wells Fargo, where she built many lasting friendships over the years.
Patricia found joy in the simple moments that brought her family together. She loved family vacations, cheering from the stands at sporting events and band competitions, and creating beautiful quilts and handmade crafts that reflected her creativity and generous spirit. Whether she was stitching a quilt, working on a new craft project, or spending time with those she loved most, Patricia's warmth, kindness, and thoughtfulness made every gathering feel a little more special.
She is survived by her husband, Lloyd Williams; sons, Andrew (Jaimie) Williams and Conor (Nicole) Williams; grandchildren, Helene, Kennedy, and Houston; siblings, Ann Chambers, Theresa Burglund, and Tim Trebil; and sister-in-law, Nancy Trebil.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Greg Trebil.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 15, 2026 at Hamilton’s on Westown Parkway, 3601 Westown Parkway in West Des Moines, Iowa. Family will greet guests following the service.
