Phyllis M. Boo

Phyllis Maurine Boo passed away Friday, July 31, 2026, at the age of 101.

Phyllis was born April 9, 1925, in Walnut, Iowa to Harry and Linda (Hansen) Walter. She graduated from Walnut High School and enjoyed her childhood in Walnut with her best friend, Ginger North. Phyllis enjoyed many pastimes, some of which were painting china, decorating, doing puzzles, and reading. She was also a talented artist who enjoyed sketching. She held many jobs throughout her life, retiring from Delavan, but many will remember her from her consignment shop that she owned and operated in Walnut for many years.

She is survived by her daughters, Dr. Nancy Kramer (Wayne) and Patricia Romey (Russ); six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and she had the privilege of welcoming her first great-great-grandchild recently. Phyllis is also survived by her sister, Patricia Beall and several nieces and nephews.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Boo; her parents, Harry and Linda Walter; her brother, Roy Walter; and her daughter, Carole Boo.

Cremation will occur and Phyllis will be interred with Raymond at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to the Animal Rescue League in loving memory of Phyllis.
