Rhonda Dakin passed away June 1, 2025, at home. She was born on December 5, 1963, in Bloomington, Illinois to Edward A. Cross and Betty R. Lathrop.

Rhonda was very outgoing and loved exploring. She always had the ability to make anyone smile. She was a housekeeper at Boone hospital and numerous places in Des Moines.

She loved fishing, camping, and singing Karaoke She is survived by her older sister, an older brother, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Rhonda was preceded in death by her father, mother, grandparents, and five siblings, Edward Cross, Nancy Cross, Vickie Dean, Betty L. Cross, and her twin brother, Ronald Cross.

Her strength, compassion, and her sense of humor will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
