Rose Meek, 92, passed away Friday, August 22, 2025, at Copper Shores Village, Pleasant Hill.
She was born December 12, 1932, in London, England. Rose enjoyed the Red Hat Society, camping, and spending time with family and friends. She retired from Federal Reserve Bank.
Rose is survived by her children, Lori Kinney Meek, Vincent Meek, and Daniel Meek; 17 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren with two more on the way; 4 great-great-grandchildren with one more on the way; and her brother, John Playle of London, England.
Rose was preceded in death by her parents, Rosetta Playle Roberts and John Playle; husband, Howard Meek; son, Glenn Meek; and daughter, Valerie Mills Meek.
She will be interred with her husband at Iowa Veterans Cemetery, 34024 Veterans Memorial Drive, Adel, IA 50003 on Friday, September 5, 2025, at 9:30 a.m.

Lori, Danny and Vince there are no words that can express the way I feel for the loss of Babs.
When we were growing up, she seemed to have a very calming amazing era about her.
It seemed her personality, softened everyone around her. It was because of her elegant presence and her red hat.
My mom loved her so much!
Everyone who meant Rose loved her.
Dan and I want you to know that we’ll be praying for you all while you go through this grieving process she will be missed.
