Ruthie D. Wentz

Ruthie Darlene Wentz, age 71, passed away Monday, December 8, 2025.

Ruthie was born September 26, 1954, in Des Moines, Iowa to Gilbert and Esther (Templeton) Palmer.

She loved spending time with her nieces. Ruthie enjoyed outings to the casino, especially when she would win!

She is survived by her brothers, Carl (Debbie) Palmer and Paul Palmer, numerous nieces and nephews, and other loving relatives and many special friends.

Ruthie was preceded in death by her parents, Gilbert and Esther Palmer, brothers, Gil, Jimmy and Roger, and sisters, Linda and Myrna.

Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m., followed by funeral service at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines.
