Raelene Wilson

Raelene Wilson, 71, passed away on September 17, 2025, at her home in Des Moines. She was born August 8, 1954, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, to Ellen Marie Harvey and Raymond Stewart Wilson.

Raelene worked for the State of Iowa for 25 years before retiring. After retirement, she continued working for Enterprise Rent-A-Car.

She had a love for collecting cookbooks and enjoyed looking through photos of family and friends, reminiscing on cherished memories. Above all, Raelene loved spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her brother, Billy (Janice) Wilson; sister-in-law, Patty Wilson; lifelong friend, Irene Guzman; step-sons, Shawn (Barb) Reynolds and Brett Reynolds; grandchildren, Sinna Van De Boe, Savannah Van De Boe, and Kennedy Van De Boe; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.

Raelene was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Jerry Carl Wilson, Donnie Lee Wilson, and Dwayne Anderson; and her sister, Jacqueline Kay.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, September 26, 2025, at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Des Moines.

Memorial contributions may be directed to The Trevor Project, an organization close to Raelene’s heart.
