Robert "Bob" Allen Perry

Robert “Bob” Allen Perry, 44 years old, passed away Thursday, July 9, 2026 at his home in Des Moines.

Bob grew up in Iowa City and was a devoted, die hard Iowa Hawkeyes Football fan, having season tickets for many years. He loved to be outside and in nature, travelling to Pikes Peak several times along with visiting the state parks. Bob enjoyed camping, hiking, fishing, and anything else he could do outside.

Bob worked at various places and had currently been attending Fort Des Moines Open Bible.

Bob is survived by his biological mother, Rose King of Kansas. He is also survived by his sisters, Brenda Steele of Oskaloosa and children Jason, Vhon Jr., and Stormie; Holly Bourget of Amana and children Brianna, Caroline, Noah, and Oliver; and Roberta (Dan) Smith of Ottumwa and children Erika, Morgan, and Irelynn; and many other great nieces and nephews. Those also left to cherish his memory are life-long friends, Mark, Afton, and Karla, as well as many other friends and family.

He was preceded in death by his biological father, Robert Clarkson; great-nephew, Desmond Steele; and his grandparents.

A celebration of life will be held at Fort Des Moines Open Bible on July 31, 2026. The visitation will be 3:00 – 4:00 pm and a service will follow at 4:00 pm. Everyone is invited to wear their Hawkeyes gear to the visitation and service.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the family in loving memory of Bob. The family plans to use the funds to honor Bob and his love of the Hawkeyes!
