Robert "Bob" Maynard Biegger

Robert “Bob” Maynard Biegger, 83, passed away on March 11, 2026, at his home in Altoona, Iowa.

Bob was born on February 22, 1943, in Des Moines, Iowa. He earned his GED and spent his working years as a driver instructor with the postal service. Bob was a man who enjoyed staying active and working with his hands. He had many hobbies and passions throughout his life, including racing motorcycles, fishing, antiquing, working on classic cars, and camping.

Bob was married to his wife, Laura Biegger, for 54 years. Together they built a life centered around family, and Bob especially enjoyed time spent with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Bob is survived by his wife, Laura Biegger; his children, Gordon (Stacey) Biegger and Katie (Anthony) Joynes; grandchildren, Jenifer (Blake) Simpson, Rachel (Jess) Fuhrman, Alexis (Santos) Carballo, Alexander (Emily) Biegger, Abbylene Biegger, Justin Biegger, Grace Biegger, Liam Biegger, Britenee Joynes, and Payton Joynes; his great-grandchildren, Hazel Fuhrman, Lucious Biegger, and Michael Simpson; his siblings, James (Karen) Biegger and Thomas (Cindy) Biegger; his sister-in-law, Norma Biegger; and many extended family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Hazel Biegger; his daughter, Kerry Ramsey; his siblings, JoAnn Pierce, Marge Cozad, Frank Biegger, Tony Biegger, and Kathleen Biegger; and other loved family members.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at Ss. John and Paul Catholic Church in Altoona, Iowa. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. Burial will take place at Altoona Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Caring Hands of Iowa in Altoona, Iowa in loving memory of Bob.

Bob will be remembered for his love of family, his adventurous spirit, and the many memories he created with those who knew and loved him.
