Sandra L. Jarchow

Sandra Lavern (Whitton) Jarchow, 56, of Des Moines, Iowa passed on September 18, 2025. Sandra was born in Rapid City, South Dakota on February 9, 1969. She was the daughter of Sherry Wilkins and Terry Whitton. She graduated from Lincoln High School in Lincoln, Nebraska and worked as a service advisor in the trucking industry for the majority of her career.

Sandra enjoyed tending to the flowers in her garden, boating, camping and traveling. Most of all, she enjoyed time with her daughter, Jazmine – shopping, cooking and watching movies.

This sassy, generous, funny and loving woman is deeply missed by her daughter, Jazmine Thompson; her mother, Sherry Wilkins; sisters, Carol (Mike) Lamb and Shelia Greenwald; Jazmine’s father, Kevin Jarchow; and numerous nieces and nephews. Sandra was preceded in death by her father, Terry Whitton.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at Hamilton’s on Westown Parkway, 3601 Westown Parkway in West Des Moines, IA.
