Sandra "Sandy" Vine
February 12, 1956 — February 05, 2026
Sandra Kay Vine, 69, passed away February 5, 2026.
She was born February 12, 1956 in Des Moines, Iowa. Sandy worked in customer service for many years.
Sandy loved going shopping! She was always on the hunt for holiday decorations, vintage stuffed animals, and anything she thought her family needed. It wasn’t out of the ordinary for her to show up at her friend’s and family’s homes with huge shopping bags, ready to gift her many finds to the people she loved most. She also loved decorating her home for the Holidays, especially Christmas. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by those whose lives she touched.
Sandy is survived by her son, Shane (Amber) Vine; grandchildren, Charlese, Zoey, and Ava; siblings, Alan (Patty) Vine and Marcia Wilkinson; and many other loving relatives and special friends.
Sandy was preceded in death by her parents, Van and Mary Vine; sister, Barb Wiseman; and her longtime companion, David Dickerson.
Family will greet friends Monday, February 16, 2026 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Hamilton’s near Highland memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue in Des Moines. Burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens, 7601 Fleur Drive in Des Moines.

I’m so sorry for your loss and that I was not able to attend the visitation on Monday. I went to high school with Sandy and we were on the Flag squad together. We had a lot of fun and I remember her fondly.

To the families, I am so sorry for your loss, Sandi was a fun-loving energetic person! I am the youngest of the cousins and just loved her spunkiness and her voice- so Demi-Moore like, I know you will miss her and her granddaughters as well. Shane you and the girls were her world!
Love and prayers,
