Stephen R. Welch

Stephen Richard Welch, 64, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, while under hospice care at Parkridge Nursing.

Stephen was born February 26, 1962, to Everett and Julie Welch in Des Moines, Iowa. He was a lifelong resident of Des Moines.

During his working years, he worked at Wright Chevrolet, Karl Chevrolet, Murray Motors, and Tom’s Used Cars.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Everett and Julie; brother, James Patrick Welch; and a sister-in-law, Robin Welch.

He is survived by his son, Caleb Welch, and siblings, Mary Lynn (Larry) Moffitt, John Martin (Marketa) Welch, Paul Michael (Lauren) Welch, and Edward Ray Welch.
