Terri D. Earles

Terri Dee Earles of Des Moines, Iowa, passed away on December 11, 2025, at MercyOne Medical Center. She was born on June 27, 1966, in Des Moines, Iowa.

Terri was the ultimate caregiver. She cared for her parents and her brother in their final years. She would give you the shirt off her back. Terri was a mother and grandmother to all she came in contact with. She was more than a “work mom”.

Terri loved her family, her animals, and dancing. Terri was at home on the dance floor. She more often than not was the life of the party. She wanted to bring home every stray animal and sometimes succeeded.

She was married to her husband, Rod for 39 years. They met first at the Iowa State Fair, and went every year together.

She is survived by her husband, Rodney Earles; son, Ryan Earles; grandchildren, Ellis and Jordy; and her sister, Patsy Lehman.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Oral and Mary Matney; and her brother, Dan Matney.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines, Iowa. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. also at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Avon Cemetery in Avon Lake, Iowa.
