Treva Joann Simon, 79, passed away January 3, 2026. She was born June 26, 1946, the daughter of Thomas and Bernadine Kouri. A proud graduate of East High School, Class of 1964. Retired clerk-typist from the Des Moines Register. Married the love of her life, Joseph P. Simon, Jr.

She was a member of Young Phoenician Club, member of Wesley United Methodist Church, attended Staves Memorial Church. During her lifetime, she helped care for her parents, nieces and nephews. She enjoyed dog “Lady”, doing puzzles, attending tea parties, picnics, and club costume events.

Surviving family members are her sisters, Janice Kouri, Marilyn Perryman; a brother, Thomas Kouri (Lisa); nieces, Heidi, Heather, Rebecca; nephews, Frank, Eric, Noah; great-nephews, Arlo and Thomas.

Private interment at Iowa Veterans Cemetery, Adel, IA.
